There have been plenty of accidents on the track this season. Dale Jr ran into Brian Vickers and later owned up by saying “It was a big mistake on my part” and apologized to Vickers. Bobby Hamilton Jr caused a multi-car accident in Bristol and took responsibility for it when he said, “Leave it to me to do something stupid and tear up a bunch of race cars, I’m sure I’m a pretty good SOB right now.” Even Jeff Gordon apologized about getting into Kurt Busch at the Martinsville race.
